The Shams Alam hotel provided a truly beautiful underwater experience with vibrant reefs and plenty of marine life. However, the dining options felt a bit limited and sometimes lacked flavor. We also noticed some cleanliness issues around the gym and dining areas. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, making the stay enjoyable overall.

The real deal or a total steal?
The location is unbeatable, perfect for serene beach walks and stunning snorkeling right from the shore. Friendly staff made my stay even more enjoyable with their excellent service and thoughtful surprises.
The hotel shows some signs of age, with a bit of noise from kids during dining times. Additionally, towel changes felt excessive when I didn’t require them daily.

We had an amazing week here where the staff surprised me with a birthday cake and the coral reef was literally at our feet! The spa treatments were just what we needed to unwind, and the beach access made it even better. Just a heads up, the WiFi can be a bit pricey, but that didn’t spoil our fun. 🌊

An Exquisite Retreat for Groups!
Our group had a fantastic stay, enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and world-class service. The inviting poolside bar served the best cocktails, and Ali at reception made our check-in effortless! Pro tip, bring some cash to easily navigate local vendors on the beach.

Just a nice choice for a brief hiatus in Abu Ghusun with very good value for money. The coral reef was amazing for snorkeling, more vibrant than I expected. Don't buy a sim card here. it’s a scam.

My kids wished for more supervision at the beach.

missingWrote a review on 23 Jullimited view
I found the superior room layout slightly misleading. while all rooms have a sea view, some are positioned further back with a limited perspective. WiFi charges at 4€ per hour felt steep, and the sheets, although clean, seemed in need of replacement due to wear. Overall, the setting was peaceful, but the lack of some modern amenities left a bit to be desired.

The culinary experience at Shams Alam is a true delight! The fresh cream cakes and local dishes hit all the right notes. From the friendly staff to the beautiful rooms, every detail makes you feel pampered. Plus, the diving center on-site is a treasure for adventurers like me!
The hollering kids could be a bit much at times, but that's just part of the lively vibe!

I had a fantastic time at Shams Alam Beach Resort. The beach is stunning, with the reef just a few steps away. The staff really made the experience enjoyable—everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to the kitchen staff for making a lovely birthday cake for me! The spa services were a nice touch, especially on windy days when we couldn't swim. Good selection of food, but the lunch options felt a bit lacking. The breakfast routine didn’t change much either, which became a little monotonous. Room had a beautiful view but could use brighter lighting. Overall, the diving center had wonderful dive spots, but the staff there seemed a bit unfriendly. Despite some minor issues, the overall experience was very positive, and I would return soon!
